Boulevard Of Dreams

“Boulevard of Dreams” is a compilation culled from past recordings on the Swallowtail Records label. The good people at Swallowtail selected twelve favorite tracks (and included two new ones) to offer listeners a cross section from their “Cafe Series”. Here is sophisticated music with which to enjoy your moments of relaxation. Music to bask in though out your day and into your evening, especially with the one you love.

Song List

Track # 1 – “Falling In Love Again” – you’re dancing in the kitchen, you’re listening to this song, and (oh-oh) you’re falling in love again!
Track # 2 – “Try a Little Tenderness” – music to love by – lyrics to live by.
Track # 3 – Theme from “Summerplace” – so carefree and effortless – I never tire of improvising over this delightful melody.
Track # 4 – “La Vie En Rose” – perhaps the greatest Parisian song ever.
Track # 5 – “Falling in Love with Love” – a gliding, lilting waltz – one of Rogers and Hammerstein’s best.
Track # 6 – “I’m In The Mood For Love” – a beckoning call to romance, sugar sweet.
Track # 7 – “Love for Sale” – from Cole Porter’s early years (1930) – sultry and tragic – even without the lyrics.
Track # 8 – “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” – one of Cole Porter’s most renown ballads – I love Sinatra’s version – recorded here with a Latin beat.
Track # 9 – “My Funny Valentine” – probably the most cherished love song of all time.
Track # 10 – “Mr. Lucky” – one of the first “jazz” themes to be utilized on TV way back in the 1950’s.
Track # 11 – “La Valse Parisienne” – Benedikt and I co-wrote this as a tribute to the genre of the French waltz.
Track # 12 – “In the Still of the Night” – from the musical “Rosalie”. a glittering beguine that seems to rise and settle like a waning moon.
Track # 13 – “The Swan” – a 19th century composition, originally for cello, which we modified with a light swingin’ rhythm.
Track # 14 – “I Wish You Love” – written during the WWII occupation of Paris – a warm, wistful listening experience.
